So I get my new puffers tomorrow!! There will be there when the store opens at 1!...
Awesome! How many are you getting? You still have one from before, right?
Its awesome been wanting more for awhile now since I have figured out some learning errors on my part. I just had the store order 3 more. I don't want too many in the tank even though they are small. I will try to post some pics tomorrow!
That's a nice big tank you're keeping them in. My three are stuck in a small 10 gallon aquarium. Still no signs of aggression, but I want to add some plants to thicken it up a little.
OMG!!! I got my puffers today they are in my tank (still in the bag) trying to get them use to my water temp and parameters. They are BABIES!!!!!!! I was so NOT excepting them to be babies. I am not sure what to do here. I am worried about my filter as it is a Fluval U1. I can't really cover up the intake unless I wrap the whole filter???? Ugh and I don't know what to feed them they are soo tiny!
OMG THEY'RE SOOOOOOO CUTE!!! I love them! I have no advice for you, obviously - as I've never kept them, but *SWOOOOOONS* for the cuteness! Good luck with the babies!!!
Is the big one paying any attention to the babies?
Could you let the little ones nibble on a bloodworm held with tweezers maybe? I have no idea what to feed them when they are that small.
I saw a home made filter cover on site that was just an aquaclear sponge cut to fit over the end of the intake. I was going to do it if I needed to with the puffers, but I just turned my filter down to low and they're big enough that it hasn't been an issue. Pretty good idea for those little guys though.
