LoL Jes I am clumpies, accident prone person! Anyways I was lucky and didn't break my lid that night! LoL yes said that night. I did mange to break it last night though. As I was trying to take one panel out so I would only have one panel on the top. I will post pics later showing why.

Once again I'm REALLY wishing there was a 'DISlike' button! Dude... that SUCKS!!! And I KNOW I'd do the exact same thing, which is why I'm going to take your advice and go with a Plexi glass lid! *Giggle* Maybe you should, too ;)

Okay, so. . . here's hoping that shattering the lid on New Year's Eve was the last bit of your bad luck for 2012, and 2013 will be a MUCH luckier year for you! *hugs* Poor John!

P.S. and TOTALLY off-topic - did that little munchkin of yours have a fantastic Christmas?!

Hey Boredomb and GW ,

I wanted to see if either of you would like to trade some lettuce for some aponogeton
'' Aponogeton Ulvaceus '' ? I have 4 that I would or could trade if y'all wanted to . They look kinda like amazon sword ''almost'' the leaves are hammerd looking instead of bein smooth like the sword . Kinda like umm kelp grass? I guess would describe it best lol . Any how its a easy to grow in gravel or sand and will adapt to any water soft / hard .
Just askin cause around here Im in the far corner of noplace lol and its hard to get aquatics unless by mail or like me wild caught . Most of my stuff is wild caught plant wise . In spring I will have lots of diffrent plants for any who are interested in trades or just want some cool unique plants for the tank .
Thanks an God bless

Hey Charlie,

If you would have asked me like a month ago I would have been more then happy to have given you all of it. It didn't like my filter due to too much water movement. It kept getting knocked around and dieing. So I took all of it out and throw it away.
Sorry man!

Some changes

I decided to scrap the idea of trying to grow some plants in the emersed state as I couldn't get them to take off (this is something I will try again in the future). So I decided to go with some terrestrial plants that I have seen ppl use in ripariums.
Like a big dummy that I am I think I throw away the labels for the plants so I don't remember the names of them.

I moved the light strip up on a brace that I slapped together real fast out of some 2x4s LoL the back of the is open. I would have it where the whole tank was opened but I have stupid cats that like to sleep on my tanks. I think I have that taken care of now but if they decided to try it. I still have one glass panel on there. I am hoping and praying they don't do it anymore as if they do. They are going to make a mess! I wanting to get some new lights. Such as the Sunbaster series for hydroponics. This was the light I was going to get when I was wanting to turn my 40B into a riparium.

I'm loving the terrestrial plants in there! The bigger size and leaf colors/patterns make it look even better than the emersed plants. If you get the new light are you going to hang it and let the new plants grow out of the top?

Yeah, That's want I am hoping for. I have the back panel of the lid off now. There is one plant that has leaves sticking up above the top of the rim now. Hopefully I have enough lighting now that they will grow till I can get the new lights.

I think the coloration and patterns really look good and make the tank look better.
