Nope, only have room for the one 10 gal tank they are in currently. I plan to upgrade to at least a 20 long next year, (august sometime) so will have somewhere to stick them at that point. They're whatever ones Petsmart sells...I don't remember lol.

If they are the common Amazon Sword they will get huge!!!! I had one in my 55 gallon and it took over one side of my tank and reached to the top of it.

They probably are. I just trim the stalks if it starts getting too tall. lol

Sad news...I know this isn't a journal post...

One of my females, the more shy one, got stuck behind the filter sometime last night/today. I found her while doing a water change, and noticed the tank was really 'quiet'. I started looking around for everyone, and didn't see anyone for awhile, until her.

The otos, amano and lone remaining puffer are all fine, but sure did give me a scare.

Now to find somewhere I can get a replacement puffer...

Tappy sorry to hear about your female! I recently changed my filter on my puffer tank to a Ehiem canister as I keep reading that you should run 10x gph for the tank when housing these little guys. Well I was also told they would be fine with a filter like this. I took the advice hooked up the filter with some modification and ran it. The next day I found one of my lil guys stuck in the filter intake. I knew in my heart that it was bad advice but I went with for some reason. That same day I put a sponge on the intake.

She was stuck behind the whole thing. no idea how she wedged herself in there, unless she was trying to get to a bloodworm that had floated back there? The pump doesn't even intake water from where she was, so it's not like she was sucked to it. it really looked like she just got stuck.

I have a Fluval Nano, for a 15 gal aquarium. It does a great job keeping things tidy and water circulating.

Water stats were fine just a few days ago when I did my normal check. 0 ammonia, 20ish ppm nitrates. Did a massive water change tonight, just in case it was a water quality thing. Didn't check stats as I was too panicked over getting a water change done and trying to find the rest of the fish. I'm baffled as to what happened...

But I have to find another puffer STAT, as my remaining one is already moping and depressed. She did eat tonight...but I dont want to lose her to depression. She and the other female did everything together. They were attached at the fin.

Awe .... Hopefully you can find one soon!! I have to have my LFS order mine as they don't carry them in stock.

Our last LFS closed down a few months ago....and that'w where I got them initially. None of our other pet stores carry them, or will order them for me.
