Dwarf Puffer aquarium

Currently, this is how the tank looks. I'll get better photos of it soon. I did some trimming of a few plants, namely the wisteria, a few days ago and removed the pennywort that was floating. I need more room for a larger tank....it looks a bit too crowded for me, but I didn't want to waste any plants that I had, so I planted it all. The driftwood piece is working out nicely, and the otos seem to really enjoy it.

The amazon sword in the very front is annoying me, but I have nowhere else to move it to at this time.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

LoL still like the tank but....... How in the world do you ever see your puffers with that many plants?

They usually come right up to the front of the tank whenever anyone walks by.

If they don't want to be found though, it's impossible to see them. xD I really have to look.

If you look hard in the middle of that photo, you can see one of them lol. (and an oto to the left)

Oh I see the one in the middle now! My adult Dwarf puffer comes out to the front of the tank when I get near it too buy my juveniles don't. I have to hunt to find them. They are smaller then my adult and really hard to find.

Mine are both about an inch. I went with the heavily planted tank to avoid mini cycles. Even though I do have a filter, its more to keep water flowing to stabilize temperature with the thermometer. Since puffs are so tiny, I knew the mob of plants wouldn't bother their swimming space too much. Often I find them going between plants to hunt for what snails are left after I've fed them. The one that showed up in the pic is the one that always comes up when I come to the tank. The other is a bit more shy, and I usually have to search to find her.

My adult is about an inch or pretty close anyways. My juveniles are closer to half an inch and picky eaters!

I finally got mine eating snails about a month ago! Little boogers wouldn't touch them before. They just wanted their bloodworms!

mine are just the opposite. They won't eat bloodworms but will eat snails all day. Now the adult will eat both no problems.

The amazon swords in the front of my tank are really bugging me. Wish I had a decent spot in the tank to move them too. They're too tall...

Do you have another tank you could put them in?? What kind of swords are those??
