LTB: Java Moss & Christmas Moss (sorry for the rant)

Okay after searching Aquabid, The Planted Tank, and Ebay for Java and Christmas Moss,

I find myself appalled at what some people deem a fair deal.

Yes I know it's a slow growing plant, no matter how many people tell you "it grows real fast" It doesn't!

I'm beginning to feel the plants are only dropped off to select individuals from the Moss gods.

I was GIVEN a small portion of Java moss from Bmac it was probably 2"x2" this was a month ago it's now about 2"x2" and a half.

I completely understand the time it takes to grow this stuff. But it is a hard plant to kill ( I think the only way to really kill it is bury it in the substrate) and there's really no "maintenance cost" as it will grow in just about any water parameters. So why is this stuff so expensive? I mean there had to be someone back in the 70's growing this stuff to get the 2"x2" piece of moss that was from a lonely seed that was brought back from a moon landing in 1969 to cost 15.00 + 6.00 shipping right?

My rant's over, If you have some of the moss' and your willing to sell some, send me a PM.

Well, apparently I didn't search long enough or in the right place, seems we have a sponsor here, AqauriumPants and they sell it in tennis ball sizes for 4.00 and some change, seeing a ball of Java moss the size of tennis ball will unroll larger than 2" x 2" seems like a good deal. Too bad they are out of stock lol, just my luck!

Still looking for both Mosses...
