I Need Some Guppies

I recently moved, so I had to empty my 50-gallon aquarium. I bought a 10-gallon to house the fish temporarily, but they didn't survive. So I'm starting over.

I'd like to develop a school of guppies, usinig the 10g aquarium for birthing. But I have two problems. Local shops sell only males, and I can't afford the high shipping costs of commercial online fish shops.

Do you have some guppies of both sexes for which you wouldn't charge this out-of-work old geezer too much money?

Oops! I guess my location is relevant. I live in North Georgia, North America.

Thanks for the good thoughts, though; they're an encouragement. I don't know what's involved in shipping, either.

I like your aquarium photo; I'm going to upload one of mine, even if there are no fish in it yet.

I have some guppies if you're willing to pay for shipping. They ship well... I usually don't have any DOAs of my guppies or shrimp... I think priority shipping would be ph, like $13. I can send you about 4-5 females and all the fry I can catch, maybe 10-30. (Not tiny babies... 2-3 weeks old. Still have to promise to make sure none stick in the bag...I caught a fry in a bag once. Very sad. :() Could also throw in a couple small plants if you want some. Tiny plants, but free. I suppose a 10G birthing tank would be a good idea, fill it with plants, etc. Normally I just plant their tank heavily and let nature take its course- They're called 'millions fish' for a reason. PM me if you want some. I also hope you'd consider buying a few males locally to introduce some diversity into the genepool. Mine have been mixed so many time, they're almost "wild guppies"

I sure came to the right place!

And yes, I'll be on the lookout locally for some nice males to add to the mix.

Welcome to the forum, Lane! I can vouch for redchigh. I ordered red cherry shrimp from him and they all arrived alive, not one DOA.
