I just got my snails!

Alidawn15, when you ship, you should consider using the bags you get from the fish store if possible, the ziplocks leaked and burst, there's only about.. 20 snails in here now :-/ but still good. Thanks! post office guy wasnt to happy about it though, the box was wet and they had to put it into a second plastic bag.

The only bags like that that I ever have are the ones from walmart. That is pretty irritating because I checked it before I put it in the box and it was fine. There were 73 snails in it when it left. Grrr.

It looks like part of the bag got caught in the adhesive on the side and when the box was being moved, it looks like a corner was crushed a little so the first bag ripped and the second bag burst at the top. I just pulled them out and there was more than 20, there is 38 snails, some where caught in the second bag that i didnt see in the first assessment.

Well so much for that little box being as neat as I thought it was... Our postmaster was very confused when I explained to her why there was water in the box. It sounds like the second bag that I put in to make sure things were secure was really more of a problem.

When i shipped snails, i left minimal water but i added a big piece of soaked paper towel so the snails would stay moist. Maybe try that? I sent boredomb a bunch of MTS this way and he said it arrived alright.
