(Ember tetras stay under 3/4 inch long, and don't have much of a bioload since they're skinny fish. People use the inch per gallon rule because it's simpler, but really the mass of the fish is more important- for example, a betta is what? about 3-4 inches long? 3-4 inches of neons wouldn't produce near the same amount of waste.)

Even a couple of male guppies would work well. (I cannot emphasise the MALE part strongly enough. a male and a female will turn into 20 overnight, or so it seems.)

So.. buying 20? pm me, I take paypal.

Could also take checks or money order, but would take about 3 weeks for the check to clear.

Also, I'm not going to sell less than 20, simply because I'd have to charge about 30 cents more per shrimp, and then adding shipping, would be close to the price of 20 to buy 5.

The shrimp only grow to about an inch, and thats only the females... males are smaller..

Also, give them a day or two and they'll turn more red.

Kymmie, you know where to send the money when you decide to buy more. :)

I've noticed that some people don't want babies 1/4 inch long...
The reason we ship them like that is that the younger shrimp are less sensitive and are more likely to survive the trip.

Just wanted to throw out there, we can sell adults if you prefer, or throw a couple adults in the bag (swap them out for babies) but the live guarantee would not apply to any adults that you request.

Still have more of these than we know what to do with.

I would bet on them eating the shrimp. Ctenopoma have very large mouths relative to their body size and are quite predatory.

You could always go to the pet store and buy some tiny ghost shrimp (normally 25-50 cents each, a dozen goes for like $3) and see if they get eaten.

Yikes, if they have already dusted off an oto you can be sure they are going to make nice snacks out of any shrimp you put in the tank with them!
