FS: Herotilapia multispinosa (Rainbow cichlids)

I have some Herotilapia multispinosa "teenagers" for sale. $5.00 each for F2 orange variety (pics of the parents available upon request) - email me directly at "gametrailgirl at yahoo dot com" for pics as I don't know how to attach pics to PM's. Beautiful and really peaceful CA cichlids (had spawn in overcrowded 90g with NO injuries or attacks!) These are pics of the parents who I sold last summer. Pick up available in central Colorado as well as shipping in the US. Size of the fish for sale are roughly 1.5".

FOR COLORADO FOLKS: for anyone in the metro Denver area who wants some of these beautiful F2 orange Rainbow Cichlids (Herotilapia multispinosa) 1.5" and up... I'm coming to Denver from Buena Vista on the 24th (Thursday). But we leave at 6:00 am that day, and have plans the evening before. So the fish have to be paid for, and bagged up before 3:00 pm on Wednesday the 23rd.

Hurry! PM me with how many you want - and if you can do a paypal payment WITHOUT a credit or debit card.

I have to apologize for changing the price on these fish - but I was totally loosing money on them before. They are now $11.00 each for these "juvies" who are probably around 3-5 weeks out from spawning (based on a recent sale who was kind enough to let me know they are spawning now).

Shipping or pick up available in central Colorado (insulated box, heat pack, medical grade oxygen, and shipping chemicals). Sorry for the change, but since I sold their parents for $40 for the pair, I believe at $11 for these Orange Variety beauties - they are still a bargain.

For anyone in the Denver, CO area who wants some of these beauties, we'll be in that area on March 6th for our fish club meeting and we can bring some of these with us providing they are ordered and paid for by the 3rd (paypal is fine).

PHEW! Got the downstairs tank emptied out so I could FINALLY move these sweet little rainbows out of the garage! They are growing fast and now this bunch are getting closer to spawning. Sold the largest ones that were the closest to spawning to buy myself a little more time before more babies come along. Still can't sex them, but would just guess that the larger ones could be male and the smaller could be the females. Only problem now is that the tank they are in is too small - please save me from TWICE a week water changes and filter cleaning! I just don't have that much spare time!

Paypal (NON-cc/dc) and concealed cash are gladly accepted, and we ship wonderfully. We use medical grade oxygen and excellent shipping chemicals (Bag Buddies only last 4-6 hours). We've had shipments go to South Texas in the heat of the summer and take 4 days to arrive and all were still fine! We've shipped all over the US - both winter and summer. We care about our little wet pets, and want them to arrive safely.

PM me for shipping quotes please - and be sure to include how many fish you want and your zip code - and I'll get you a quote as quickly as possible.

THANKS!

would you be able to ship them to canada? I have no idea if customs will let them through, can anyone help with this? I would love to get this fish from you.

Ugghhh - that thought scares me quite honestly. Customs can be extremely difficult I know. I have successfully shipped fish all over the US (continental only so far), but I have a horrible picture of nasty fish goo sitting at customs for 10 days or so. Scares the poo out of me honestly.

IF you want to google it, call customs, or do some more homework, we MIGHT be able to think about it, but my first reaction is NO. It would take some very good info to make me rethink it. Do you perhaps live close enough to the US border and know someone on this side who I could ship it to and you just go pick them up?? I wish things could be easier for you on this one because they are super sweet fish in addition to their great looks.

these fish truly are an asset to the aquarium. They once won me onehundred dollars. I was told by an expert on all things fish related that there were NO fish that ate filamentous Algae. I directed his attention to this particular fish commonly known as rainbow cichlid. It should be noted that their appetites are not confined to filamentous algae, they will eat just about anything that grows. they are particularly fond of micro sword. :(

I knew they ate the algae, but have never seen them mess with my plants in either tank I have them in. Both tanks are pretty heavily planted and I never see any damage or see them actually munching on the plants. Maybe they only do it if you don't feed them enough??

It is possible. I only feed my fish once per day. I had some micro sword and Wisteria and they were on it like ducks on a junebug! I finally traded them for a shoal of corys.
