Putting this out there: I do weekly water changes.. I use the opportunity to also lightly vacuum the bottom of the tank. There does seem to be sediment of varying size. I have always thought that it is part of tank upkeep just to get rid of some of the 'phnuk' from the gravel. I do not think I am over feeding the fish. I watch and they grab up virtually every particle that is given them. The tank is, I think, heavily planted.
Where does this leave the 'fewer water changes' and the aquaripure?
Is this crucial, to take some of the sediment out or, at least, filter the water through something like the vortex diatom filter.
