Tire Track Eel-I just had a strange feeling moving it...

Now I feel different after moving him from my 20g to the 75g. He has grown nicely at 7 inches while cooped in the 20g. I decided it's time he must move to a larger tank. I feel strangely not comfortable. I must have been too used to its presence in the 20g and strongly attached to him too. I must admit I always watch him and I enjoy watching him swim around.

On the side note, it was no trouble catching him. He simply went into the pipe and I just had to move the pipe over the larger tank. Wouldn't want him to be away from his favorite home.

P.S. I'm amazed he simply stroll around the new home whereas other fish would simply hide away for hours. He's not really shy at all.;)

my Tire Track Eel used to come out all the time, scavenging around the tank and such. now he trusts me to provide him with a shot of bloodworms everyday, and ususally just keeps his head and fins out from underneath "his" shell or flower pot... if I talk to him and get him all excited for food he'll start wriggling his fat little body everywhere, haha so cute.

If everything went to well why are you uncomfortable? Because of the arrowana in the tank?

I would never move him with my arowana. He's far too slender and serpentine fish that cannot stand abuse will only be killed. Right now, he's with my loaches and synos. He's been roaming around the tank quite a lot.

I just don't feel comfortable as I was too used to see him in my smaller tank. I always look for him on daily basis.:D

P.S. Would you believe I have not permitted myself to cover the tanks completely?;) *Knocks wood.*

I had one that got to about 3 foot long. His home was a Brass spitoon that I put an epoxy coating on to prevent the metal from turning the water foul. I used to hand feed him Goldfish. Grab a Goldfish, stick the morsel in front of the opening of the spitoon and out he'd come taking the food ever so gently.
