Question tank mates and size

I am ordering a 135 gallon tank 72 in length 18 in width. I currently have 2 bgk that are 4 inches and 2 Balas 4 inches. I have a trio of neon tetras as well. I was thinking I would really like to get 3 discus fish (or more). Would that size tank be big enough for all of these guys? It will be a planted tank with plenty of hideouts.

I was/am just worried because the BGK get to be 21" and the balas 12"

I think you'd be fine with the BGKs and the Balas. I don't think I would do Discus with the Balas though since they are known to be rather nervous and skittish fish and may stress the Discus.

that was my main worry was if they would all get along. Hans and frans (balas) leave twist and shout (bgk) alone and vice versa but they were introduced into the tank at the same time. Actually the LFS had them in the same bag as well. Hans and Frans chase one another all the time and twist and Shout do the same. But if Discus are skiddish I can see that alone causing a problem.

Any suggestions for colorful fish that will be able to ignore the "boys"? Or should i just get more neon tetras?

I bought them originally to be eaten. Noone seems to be very interested in them though. I will probably buy a few more and when/if they start getting eaten I'll switch to something bigger and buy feeder fish for the boys.

if you want feeeder fish.better breed your own.use guppies they breed real easily and you have a lot of fry at different sizes to feed your fish
