swamp eel

so i got a swamp eel on friday and hees been hiding in the gravel of the tank for a while but tonight i was just watching my tank and lo and behold out he comes and is now cruising around the top of the tank doing laps not snapping at anybody or tying to escape is this normal? is it jsut a thing they do and hes just burning somne energy off fromm chilling all day? or is he trying to pull a houdini if its nothing cool hes jsut being awesome haha

I am not familiar with the common name of Swamp Eel. My guess is that this is the reason why you have not gotten a response to your question yet.

I really don't think I've ever said this before, and please excuse me for being rude, but that is an UGLY fish.

I couldn't find anything about people keeping them in fish tanks before, so I can't really help you there.

hmm no thats not him hes smaller but because hes nocturnall its rare that i can get a pic of him before he goes back underground when i can i will but it seems at though this is normal because hes been out cruising at night (of course when i dont have my camera) but anyways hes been doing this for a while so im assuming its nothing big
