puffer compatability

so i have a tank with african cichlids, its a 55 gal with plenty of rocks and plants and of course a high ph around 8.0 to 8.3 gh kh is over 12 drops with the API test kit. which type of puffer would work in my aquarium?

All puffers (save the dwarf or pea puffer) eventually need to be kept in brackish water. I'm thinking a pea puffer would be too small to house with your cichlids once your cichlids reach their adult size. Just what I've read...
