Peacock eels

I would like to know some things about Peacock eels. I am thinking about getting them for my tank.

-What can they be housed with?
-Temperature and Average pH?
-Food?
-Tank Items?

I am really interested in these fish, and would like one at some point.

i have no experiance with this fish,however i looked up a little bit
of information for you,and i hope it helps.
Peacock eel: Macrognathus siamensis.
6-12 inches long. PH 7.0 DH 10
temo. 73-82 f 23-28c
will eat small fish,keep in a heavily planted tank,they will like living
in a substrate of sand or fine gravel,they will hide in the day time
and come out to feed in the evening,they will like pipes,roots
caves to live in.they will eat Live brine shrimp,blood worms,
mosquito larvae,and apparently when they are adults they will eat
Ghost shrimp.
nice looking eel,hope you get what you want.

Ok, thanks Willow. I heard they can't get bigger then 8in in captivity, so that is what I am hoping for.

Peaceful. What size is the tank? No sharp decorations and substrate. The tank should be moderately planted as it likes to hide among plants. Provide some PVC pipes as well. 40 gallons is the minimum when keeping one.
