I got 4 young Bumblebee Gobies this past weekend and am struggling as to what to feed them. At the moment I only have Frozen Blood Worms on hand and am thawing and feeding using a turkey baster to get the worms down into where they like to stay. Meanwhile feeding the rest of the tank flake over at the other end, trying to keep the gang occupied, LOL. They seem to spit alot out... but that could be because their tummies would fill fast, before I can get a look at them to see if they are feeding.
My LFS does not stock any frozen foods on a regular basis. (they currently have one pack of the same Frozen Blood Worms if I need more) However in order to get what I need for these little barely 1" long little guys, I will have to drive an hour to one of 3 L(far)FS OR get her to order it in for me. She is not reliable!!!
What else can I get should I make the drive to the city? Or what should I try to order in?
i.e. what do they really love to eat? Thanks for your help. :-?

once they get a little bigger (1.5 inches) you can grow your own food.. Blackworms would be great for them.

No reason you can't start now though.. Microworms are fairly easy to grow, and will sink relatively quickly.

I've never kept gobies, but I don't think anything will ever pass up a good, healthy, live food.
They can be ordered online.

Ha Ha!! lol You're funny!

Actually Hubby has a camera apparently that has an "'aquarium" setting so I will try it out tonight once it gets dark. There is too much glare on the tank right now from the windows. At the very least I will get a video of the tank... they are so tiny!!!

On a side note... It is actually JAKE-E-baby. my dog Jake`s nick name. My real name is Sharon.

So I will try to get pics/video tonight.

Thank you for the food info. I'm going to see about growing/raising my own food for them. Fun. Will keep you posted.

Hi guys. Well I only had them about a month. It was really tricky to feed them. I was told to give them Blood worms and they are very slow to eat. So I would try to squirt some down into the bottom/back area of the tank for the 4 of them and then feed the gang up top hoping that the Gobies would get enough. I don't think the did cause they just didn't last. They were very young and came that colour. Sorry I can't shed any light on it all.

Two of my BBS are bright an one is dull. I've had them for 5 months and although they've grown, their color is the same. They're healthy little guys. They're a little tough to feed when you have vivacious top feeders - I have praecox rainbows and they're crazy fish! So when I feed I start with the praecox in mind, but then I sporatically put food right at the filter outflow. This forces the food to the bottom and then it naturally floats along the top of the substrate. The BBS know the feeding schedule now, so they set themselves up to catch the pieces floating by. They love Brine Shrimp. Hope this helps!
