MEXICAN WALKING FISH MYSTERY
about 3 weeks ago i got sum plants from the pet barn, for my australian native fish tank. a couple days later i noticed 4 egg sacks about the size of your smallest finger nail. i watched for another couple days then decided to try and take care of them, i got a floting guppy/fry tank and carefully put them in!
after a couple days 1 egg had become cloudy then rotted, the other 3 were fine.
after rough time during a water change... 2 of the 3 eggs were seperated from the bit of plant they were attached to... they hatched the next day!
i could not figure out what they were!!!
after a couple days, one of the hatched fry died, and the remaining egg sack fry hatched! (alot bigger and alot more healthy looking)
its been 2 weeks since.......
the bigger 1 is about this big |-------|
the only conclusion i can come to is that the mexican walking fish, in the plant tank at the pet barn were breeding, and i got lucky!!!
hope they survive! any1 hav any similar storys? or breed axolotols?
