i`m really sorry to mention this but all the petshops in my area clearly fail. Only one brings marine fish and the others only bring freshwater fish. I tried to explain to them why their eel wasnt feeding and why their puffers die so fast. they just insist that these are freshwater fish. i really believe they have no idea what a brackish water tank is and just bring the fish they find are in the highest demand. I have taken care of eels before, including an american eel and a fire eel.

my next question is perhaps can he go into a full marine tank straight away?

You need to gradually acclimate him to full marine conditions by increasing the SG by 0.001-0.002 a week.

I'm ready for the pressure.
The drama and the pleasure!
If there is one thing I want to see here, it's HUMOR.
I believe I can fly!
I believe I can touch the sky!
I think about it every night and day!
I stand in awe of my body.
