well, one puffer is gone, returned to the store. He was mercilessly going after the Rasboras; whichever one was closest. He had to go stat. The other one doesn't bother them. We picked up some nuisance snails for him, and out of seven three are left. So far so good, so we'll see.

The one that's left is the one that was going after the other puffer and he seems happier being solo.

I was going to get a 40 gallon tank (with a Red Devil Cichlid) from a friend but insted that friend told me about one of her friends giving away a 55 gallon that only needed fish :) thats how

look on craigslist or ebay for some good deals...
I have an extra tank i had for a Tegu i used to own but now i want to switch out my 55 gallon tanks as the extra one is newer and nicer...

P.S. i hope it works out for u.

Well the second puffer is going to have to go too, but not too far. I have obtained a 5 gallon tank for him. He's started nipping at the rasboras as well, though not with the ferocity of the other one. He ate 6 snails in two days and there was only one left way up top, so maybe hunger played a part. I have provided more snails for him.
