I am fairly positive it is a caecilian(likely a adult female too), I have two if you go to my profile there is a video that shows normal behavior. If she goes up to the surface to breath air every 30-60min then it is 100% a caecilian. Species wise it is a likely Typhlonectes natans. Its a type of amphibian not really a eel/fish. Only thing I am very surprised/interested about is that she is white, I've never seen a picture of a white one before.
How long have you had her?
If you could please post at http://gymnophiona.org/discussion/index.php. It is a very small, quiet forum but is dedicated to this genus of amphibian. You can't see the forum until you register, but it will provide you with a lot of useful information. Those who have kept these guys longer then me should help verify species, and her(IMO) unusual color. |
