Actually I plan on selling the 30 gallon soon:) I only had it because fish stores ect really don't sell fish large enough to just put in a mature tank. so generally they start off in my 30 gallon or 55..makes it easier:) but..I think I'm going to suffer with only the 55 shortly:)
I just got my rena xp3 filter in the mail yesterday for the 120 gallon so..once the boyfriend builds the stand it'll start the cycling process AND I'll be moving fish around once again haha:)

snubbed nosed eel?hmm picture?
It's even more fun when you have someone that will build you a stand..

Here is how I classify eels..lol

#1 Turtleface........................................ ..#2 Long Jaw..........#3 Snub nosed....#4 Super Snub

haha..I'd love to have a MASSIVE salt water tank..but the bigger tank we're building is ment for my current fish stock..so I'd feel bad if I just got rid of them..haha

your right...a replacement won't be the same..thats kinda why I'm hoping for a different eel..It just feels silly getting the same kind...lol

I just purchased the BGK about a month ago now..and I know once he/she passes away..I won't be getting another one for awhile at least after...I just can't..lol

The only fish I've ever truely felt comfortable replacing was for my mature yellow tinfoil barbs..only because they were MASSIVE and 3 out of my 6 stock died(I think I might've been the cause:()...and the ones they sell in the pet store are TINY lol...so I had to grow them out and then reintroduce them with the "foil herd" lol as I call them..and all is well:)

i'de love another salty tank but the upkeep and cost of someone to maintain it is holding me back. would love to see your new eel when he arrives bet he's a beauty.BGK gets quite big and yes the lfs sell them when they are small not many people know they get huge when they grow up.me and my hubby are going a bit crazy.i have new ideas and another tank on the way hehehehe

So..I'm pretty disheartened on my fire eel...and my local pet store is working on getting me one in..(I think I might get one and just place it in a different tank lol..)I REALLY enjoyed having one..however.. I came across this one online( I don't feel very comfortable purchasing online..) ..nor do I even know if htey ship to Canada..but regardless..

Just curious if this is truely a freshwater eel..or will end up needing brackish-salt water in the near future?

Thanks again..:)

If they are indeed freshwater eels..I might print out the page and see if my LFS can get some in before I bother with online purchases..

Really appreciate it:)
