I currently have three in my 5 gal with brackish water. The fish do perfectly fine as long as you give them space to claim their own "territory" (maybe some small caves or something) so they can be happy. The aquarium should be cycled as well. These fish are relatively easy to keep - the only hassle could be feeding and keeping the water paramaters straight (which shouldn't be too hard if you're feeding them live brine shrimp, which is what they like, and if you do frequent water changes ect..) In other words, go for it!
