Phishnpups, welcome to Tropical Fish Keeping forum.:-D
I agree with TankfulTropicals. Also, there are some suggestions in our profile. We have fish and plant profiles under the second tab from the left in the blue bar across the top of the page. If the name is used identically in a post to how it appears in the profile, it will shade, example Black Ghost Knifefish and you can click that for the profile. Important info on tank aquascaping for this fish is also mentioned.
I actually was about to post the exact same question. I have a BGK. His name is Wallace and he's darling. Idk about most BGK's... but Wallace isn't the cold-blooded killer he's cracked up to be. He's big enough to start picking on fish but lives peacefully with 5 ghost shrimp, a fancy guppy, a crippled oto catfish and his bff, a golden mystery snail.
I keep mine with an African Tiger Fish, some Mahseer, a Pictus Catfish, and an Apollo Shark
My Black Ghost Knife is about 9" or so.
The link in my signature goes to my youtube channel where I have a bunch of videos of the fish.
