So I upped the paradise fish count to six for the past week, so I could pick out the best of the lot. I wound up with 1 male and three females. (I hope I got it right this time!) They are Skipper (big female), Gilligan (not so big male), Ginger (brightly colored smaller female) and Mary Ann (palest, smallest female). They collectively rule the top third of my tank and, in the case of Mary Ann, one small cave. Don't know why she's decided she's a cave fish, but she seems otherwise happy and healthy so I don't question it.
The two males I returned to the LFS and exchanged for a red zebra cichlid and yellow lab cichlid. But that's a subject for a different post
