There are some, if you have very soft water as they are likely wild caught. Trichopsis pumila, Parosphromenus deissneri, and Parasphaerichthys ocellatus come to mind as I have or have had these myself. There are I believe some dwarf Betta species though I'm not familiar with those.

Those are too delicate for my liking. :p All wild betta need incredibly soft water as well.
The honey gourami only hit 2", are they an active species for needing 24"? That's a 15 gallon if I am not mistaken. My 15 gallon is 26", all my tanks are long and shallow.
I'll probably go for it if I see a cheap used tank.

taking a break from fish-keeping.
3 lovely male betta still keep me company.
