my female betta is gone!!!!!!!!

i took my female betta from my 29 gallong to my 26 gallon. i know that most of you would need to see my tank to answer this question but where is she??????????????? i definately moved her and she isn't in the tank!!!!!!! i put my hand in the tank and moved some of the plants around to see if she was hiding but i could find her anywhere. she isn't on the ground near the tank either.

is this common for bettas to do missing like this?????

Very strange. So do you have tons of plants and could you just be not seeing her? Do you have a cat or someone who would play a trick on you, and take her out? Could she of "jumped" and landed in the filter?

Does she have tankmates that could have attacked and eaten her?

she is in with two painted glass fish and three guppies

i dont have a cat and i checked everywhere outside the tank just in case she jumped out.

i havent had this tank for to long so i dont have that many plants.

If you have a HOB filter i would check behind the lip where the "waterfall" comes out.

and if that still doesn't work then check the floor again (atleast a 5 ft. radius) with a flashlight. There's something about using a flashlight that helps you spot things on a floor easier like fish. Trust me I would know from experience haha. Checked everywhere then rechecked with a flashlight and spotted him real quick.

thanks everyone!!!!!! i'm not home right now but when i get home a will be sure to check there!!!!!!!

i have plenty of flash light around the house because of hurricane irene :)
