I've got a new betta friend. :)

Hellooooooooo... so not only do i have the 10 gallon and 30 gallon going. I've also set up my 5 gallon yesterday using some water from my 30 gallon (healthy) and some dechlorinated tap water. I went to the pet store to get a heater and some silk plants and the tank was good to go. Gonna be testing the water everyday to make sure everything is good. Of course, like I normally do, I walked out with a live animal! LOL. I haven't gotten a name yet but he's a beautiful long fin betta. (veiltail I'm guessing is the technical term.) He's gorgeous, no sign of illness that I can see... and he's peachy colored with blood red markings on his fins. I am in love. I can't wait to show pics. :D Any name suggestions? I was thinking of naming him Zidane from the main character from a video game called Final Fantasy 9. We'll see... :o

I like Zidane, FF9 was a pretty good game in the FF series. =)

That's what I have been calling him so I think that's it. :) Just figured out, he has what I think is a slight case of fin rot, probably from the cup he was in... so I'm doing a water change right now. Just got the azoo filter to.... they are sweet! I love it already. Set up the new filter and took the cartridge from the other one I had in there before and will leave it in the tank for a few days I think. :) Zidane is doing wonderfully. Haven't really been able to see him fully flare yet, but from the first night I had him, he definitely has an appetite, which I know isnt always the case when you first bring them home. :) I love him dearly!
