Yes the age old question... are these sinking pellets? If so you can start by feeding the gourami on one side of the tank and when its reasonably distracted drop the pellets on the other side.

i have been doing that but when the gouramis are done with the flake they go after the sinking pellets

Are they going after while they are sinking or when they are on the ground? If they only go after them when they are sinking then you can always just put the pellets in a turkey baster and put them on the ground, but if they still go after them on the ground constantly you might need to switch to only using the pellets after the lights are off. What bottom feeders are we talking about here?

i have two flying foxes and a red tailed shark i will try that after dark feeding thing to see if that works
