Angry Gouramis keep eating tank plants!

hello all,

About a month ago, I purchased 4 gouramis, along with an anacharis plant at my local petsmart. Ever since, they have been slowly nipping away at the anacharis, which now sorta looks like a green chopstick with barely any leaves because they ate it all. I have a few other stalks that look okay now how do I encourage gouramis to leave the anacharis alone? with all these bites - anacharis seems to be flourishing buds in every stalk.

You won't be able to "discourage" the fish, sorry! Best option if you really like that particular plant is to add more of the plant to your tank to spread out the grazing.

18 species/varieties of fish, 15 species/varieties of plants - The fish are finally ahead of the plants!
*560 gallons (2120 liters) in 5 tanks -> you do the math.
