gourami question

I saw a gourami labelled "Red Fire Dwarf" at local Petsmart. Is it same as honey gourami? Thanks.

Its probably a dwarf gourami, Trichogaster lalius.

If you click on the shaded name, it will take you to the fish profile for it and it has pictures, does they look similar to it?

Current:
5g: Betta
20g Long: Endlers/Sorority/Cherry Shrimp
20g Long: Espei Tetras/Otos/Pgmy Cories/Assassin Snails

It kinda looks like it as in the picture, but the color is different. It's mostly yellowish orange. Not blue/orange banded as in the picture in the profile. The store has that kind too under dwarf gourami....

I went to petsmarts website and its a dwarf gourami. They have a few color morphs such as powder blue, banded and apparently fire red.

Thanks for doing that. The reason I ask is I am thinking of adding a dwarf or honey. I'd rather go with the honey gourami as I've been discouraged by the disease proneness of the dwarf gourami. Any one with a happy experience with dwarf gouramis as regards longevity and disease-free??

Ive heard of a few people keeping dwarfs without any problems, but since the disease can lay dormant and affect other fish and there isnt any cure, its really just a better idea to go with the honey gourami.

also theyre adorable :P
