I have a male gold gourami and idk what the blue gourami is...but everytime I put them together the blue chases the gold and nips at his fins. Is this normal behavior? What is the best solution?

I also got a female gold and when I added it along with the blue it jus swam around it...while the gold male attacked the gold female

Are they in your 10 gallon tank? The best solution would be to take the gouramis back. The blue and gold gouramis are the same species (Trichogaster Trichopterus), just different color morphs. They get too big for a 10 gallon (6") and are very territorial with each other. You could keep one dwarf gourami (Colisa Lalia) which only get to about 2".

Yup.

honey and sparkling gouramis are 2 other choices.

I gave the blue aways to a friend who ironically has two gold gouramis himself and he said that they haven't fought or even chased eachother in the past two weeks. I now only have a gold female and a gold male...and the male goes after the female jus once in awhile.

I for one love gourami's look at my tank =P

I'd upgrade to at least a 36 if you're on a budget (it's a bow front size), or go to a 55 gallon if you can get it, those fish will grow up to 4 inches each at adult size and has bioloads like gold fish.... my 90 is barely enough for the gourami's i have and if I add at least 1-2 non dwarfs i'll have to go to 125. which will suck and be wonderful!!!!

but yeah, they are suffering in the 10 gal =D move to a bigger size and they won't be as fussy as well. plus then you'll have room in your fish motel for more!!!

Ah, the fish store stocking theory. I would be counting your blessings, because IME you have a ticking time bomb on your hands. But, it may work out for you. Just know that your experience is as far from normal as possible, and it is NOT likely to work for anyone who tries it. Sometimes things are okay until they're not.

In My Experience. Certain internet slang is used pretty regularly - you'll learn it whether you want to or not :) IMO is used a lot too, and is very similar to IME.

You're posting from a mobile device - I think you're a lot deeper in it that you realize ;)
