All fish benefit from the occassional deshelled pea....I just microwave 1 or 2 peas in a little bit of water for 10 or so seconds to warm/soften them, then deshell (which is important to do for digestive reasons) and squish up the pea into pieces and put in the tank.
My honey Gourami will also nibble on the piece of zuccini or cucumber I put in for the oto's. I cut up a piece, microwave that for 30 secs., put it on the end of a plastic stick (some use veggie clips) and place in the tank. You can try various fruits/veggies to see which they may like best.....some people feed bits of mango, apple, sppinach or romaine lettuce. You don't want to keep any fruit/veggies in the tank for too long, or else they can end up fouling the water, I do keep my zuccini in over night. It may take some time/a few goes before the fish realise it is actual food and become interested in it.
