dwarf gourami with danios?

Hi, I am considering adding a Dwarf Gourami to my community tank. my concern is that the zebra danios may be a little too active and stress out the gourami. the tank is 38gl and heavily planted with plenty of floating cover. other tank mates include penguin tetras, neon tetras, and platies.
i have read the profile, and understand the health concerns, but I would really like to add a powder blue to the tank if it will get along with the other fish. thanks for any tips!

it should be fine.........Ive kept danios with them before, maybe stressed for a few days but with lots of plants should adjust

I have a Honey Gourami with 4 glofish, which are basically zebra dainos, and they are fine. If anything the gourami is more active because of the danios. Also have a mixed school of tetras, black phantom and long fin red minor. Everyone is peaceful and active with eachother, even during feeding.

Actually, everything I've read about gourami says they shouldn't be kept with active species like danio and barbs because gourami come from sedentary swamp-like environments. For a little more info on it, you can wade through Byron's post in this thread.

If you do decide to add a Dwarf Gourami at the very least you should quarantine it for a few weeks (possibly longer) to ensure that it's not bringing any disease into your community.

I think it will be alright, watch for the danios to see if they nip at him as that might stress him out some. They're cool fish, and get along with others pretty well, but will let other species bully them so beware of that. They're pretty active fish too. They'll play in the bubble wall and ride the filter water coaster for entertainment. You might run into trouble with aggression if you add more than one. I've got some.
