How cute, makes me miss mine! Honey's are quite docile, so they only problem I would anticipate is the tiger barbs stressing them. They don't appreciate fast moving, nippy tank mates :/

I'd be surprised if you're able to find a female honey gourami, they're virtually unavailable on the market. Wholesalers almost always only ship males.

Are the cories you got all the same species? Often cories of different coloration will not school together.

`yeah I've read about those tiger barbs :o) little tikes. No I've got cherry barbs and they are fine with the honeys. When I started I didn't know anything about fish so I researched all compatible community fish and choose small species with the most contrasting colours.

I've got 3 cherry barbs, 2 dwarf honey gouramis, cardinals 5 now (lost 1 sadly) and 6 corys

The only problem is the cherrys are right greedy beggers and usually get most of the good stuff (live food) the honeys swim happily with the other fish, just tend to hide when I get close to the tank, but I think they're starting to get use to me which is really cool.

The honey are soooo pretty now when I got them they were quite plain and I'm not surprised the fs said I had a male and female orginally, then they started to change colour going deeper yellow with red and black ( i originally thought something was up with them). I did want to get females cos their colours get even better I've read. Geddy the male cherry goes the most beautiful red colour when he's in the mood for love ;) It's been suggest I give away one of the males and get a female but I just can't and from what I found out My tank's not big enough to get females with 2 males. They swim around and play together so I think they're content enough. So I opted for the corys.

I live in England so it's easier to get hold of female honeys luckily. Not that it's much use to me now - (might still be sulking heh)

I did want to get different species but Yes the corys are all the same (I do as I'm told :oD had loads of really good advice on this site - love it) They're called cory julis (that was the shop name I think they're also known as leopard corys but I'm not sure. The 4 new ones are much smaller than the original 2 and one of the big ones has nearly all black eyes but that's the only difference.
