Have you ever thought of adding a background to your tank??
I keep meaning to pick one up, but I always forget. With 7 cats, 2 dogs, 5 lizards, 3 turtles, 53 snakes, 4 rabbits, a rat colony, a mouse colony, and only one tank, I tend to forget about the fish at the store.

You have that many animals?? All at one house??
You've got to go to Off Topic Discussions and post some pics under "Other Pets"....
I forgot to mention. Apparently this guy is an anomaly. He never hides except a little behind the filter stem. It may be because he grew up to a 4" subadult in Petsmart because noone wanted him :( He was in a top tank so few people saw him and once he grew up, people only want the cute little babies. I had to take the little Guppy sucker home.
i have one of those fish :3 its getting bigger and a suggestion! they like it when the tank light isnt bright they like it more along the lines a shade other wise they will be at hiding all the time. :/ so yeah just make sure to have live plants, low lighting, and warm temperatures. As for feeding if anyone else have a question feed it plankton mainly at night
A 55 gallon trash bag makes a great DIY background.
I have a trio of bushfish, 2 male and a female, I think, in my 110 with 2 Bichirs. I h\ve been informed by Mike Hellweg that sooner or later the larger bichir will eat the bushfish (and the smaller bichir), but I am keeping my fingers crossed and pumping a good supply of krill, silversides, and homemade beefheart preparation into the tank to forstall this.
I got these guys about an inch and a half long at Pestmart and the males are pushing 4" now, with the female lagging an inch.
53 Snakes? You may want to check with a professional about certain issues. (I keed).
